May - November 2002 City Council Candidate - San Fernando Valley , CA Campaigned for the office of City Councilperson in what could have been the new city in the San Fernando Valley. For details of the election, please see my campaign web site at: www.terrystoneforcd10.com. Created extensive campaign material and election strategy. Formed ValleyWomen, the group of 16 female candidates, to work on wormen's issues. Formed Valley Libs, the group of progressive liberal candidates, to emphasize to the voters that liberals were also on the ballot. Arranged extensive media coverage through press conferences, releases and interviews. Organized election events such as The Last Mayors' Forum at the Airtel Hotel and the Valley Parade consisting of over 7 antique cars full of candidates meeting at the Hollywood Bowl. Brought all 111 candidates together through creative use of the internet and helped form an ongoing candidate group which is still working to better the San Fernando Valley.
